I continue suck at Go
The game, not the programming language. It is a game that humans are supposed to be able to beat the weaker computer programs that are available. I get slaughtered by both computer and human on a 9x9 board.
I am trying to stick with it though. I am taking this as an exercise in concentration, visualization, and patience. These are all areas where I have been lagging. The problem is that I play game after game against a computer and do not really spend any time analyzing what went wrong.
That analysis is what is probably holding me back, but that would require a peer or someone to work with. Go is not something that is sweeping the nation I live in, and I would need to drive well over 100 miles to play at a club. I am shy about hitting up strangers online for such advice. Perhaps getting past my ego and shyness is another one of the goals.
Still, it's such an intriguing game. I have to keep trying.
